for carillon
Still Harbor evokes the sound of a breeze makes its way through a seascape of buoy bells. As the breeze moves, a gentle wave of sound rises and falls over the course of the piece. Each buoy bell uses 2 carillon bells tuned to a perfect fifth. For most instruments, the spectra of a perfect is one of the least rich, but for metal bells with their inharmonic spectra, the overtones are especially rich.
